More Power than Ever

At launch, Slaton area shoppers can choose from either the 530i or 530i xDrive. It uses a turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. That's 7 more horsepower and 38 more pound-feet of torque than the predecessor. From November 2023, shoppers can also opt for the more powerful 540i xDrive, featuring a turbocharged six-cylinder engine. For the 2024 BMW 540i xDrive, output increases by 42 horsepower and 52 pound-feet of torque to 375 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque.

Sophisticated Technology

The 2024 BMW 5 Series also gets more modern hardware and software than the outgoing model, thanks to a BMW Curved Display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Familiar must-haves like voice commands and Navigation return, aided by new standard equipment including BMW Operating System 8.5, a wireless charging tray, and innovative new features like On-Street Parking Information (for select cities) and Hazard Preview.

The new 2024 BMW 5 Series works hard to keep you safe on the road, too. The Active Driving Assistant suite of driver aids comes on every model. It comprises Frontal Collision Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Departure Warning. With additional peace of mind thanks to included BMW Assist eCall and other Connected Drive Services, the new 5 Series makes staying safe and connected easy.

The new BMW 5 Series is longer, wider, and sports a longer wheelbase than the outgoing model. This athletic design underscores the vehicle's dynamic abilities and provides additional interior space for cargo and passengers. A modern interpretation of the iconic BMW kidney grille adorns the front, and dynamic LED lighting gives the new 5 Series a look that's sure to turn heads. The First-Ever All-Electric BMW 5 Series: the BMW i5

Brownfield, TX, shoppers looking forward to going all-electric now have more options than ever. The first-ever BMW 5 Series EV is here, available in two different trim levels. The BMW i5 eDrive40 comes impressively well-equipped, with an Interaction Bar with Ambient Lighting from the 7 Series, a personal eSIM 5G, and Iconic Sounds Electric, all standard. The BMW i5 eDrive40 is rear-wheel drive, offering a single electric motor generating 335 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The expected range of the 2024 i5 eDrive40 is 295 miles on a full charge.

Drivers needing a little more performance in their luxury EV will find the 2024 BMW i5 M60 to fit the bill. Using xDrive all-wheel drive and dual electric motors, it generates a wicked 590 horsepower and 549 pound-feet of torque, enough to send the sedan scurrying from zero to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. The i5 M60 is also more well-equipped, adding details like a Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound system, heated front seats, and 19-inch M wheels.
