BMW X3 Trim Levels

BMW X3 sDrive30i

The BMW X3 offers four distinct trim levels to choose from. The base trim is the sDrive30i. It's powered by a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 248 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque. It also includes Driving Dynamics Control which let you customize your driving experience with selectable driving modes such as Sport, Eco Pro, and Comfort.

Standard entertainment features that you can expect for the baseline trim and across the board are Apple CarPlay®, a 10.25-inch central information display, a rearview camera, a power tailgate, and 12-speaker HiFi sound system. As far as safety features, the Active Driving Assistant system helps prevent accidents with features like a Frontal Collision Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, and a Lane Departure Warning.

BMW X3 xDrive30i

The next trim level is the xDrive30i. It runs on the same powertrain as the base trim and includes many of the same standard features. The biggest difference between the two is that this trim comes with standard xDrive all-wheel drive.

Not only can this all-wheel drive system grip the road and provide you with extra traction and stability, but it also offers a smoother ride. Its multi-disc electronically controlled clutch shifts available torque between the front and rear wheels, giving you a more balanced driving experience.

BMW X3 M40i

The next trim level is perfect for someone looking for more power as well as a more stylistic design. The BMW X3 M40i features a 3.0L TwinPower Turbo inline-six-cylinder engine that produces an exciting 382 horsepower with 368 lb-ft of torque.

In addition to its more powerful engine, this trim level also offers variable sport steering and performance control, as well as upgrades in comfort and entertainment like 14-way power front sport seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a Shadowline exterior trim.

BMW X3 xDrive30e

The last trim level in our roster is the BMW X3 xDrive30e. It shares many of its features with the X3 sDrive40i and the X3 xDrive40i but replaces its main engine with an efficient combination. The 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine is paired with an integrated electric motor. Overall, this plug-in hybrid SUV is able to crank out 288 horsepower. Plus, it's easy to charge and delivers an impressive driving range.
